Call It Grace (another Anti-poem)

a glass of water thrown

and then give me some words

any words but don't make them a gauntlet

I'm here caught up and bent down

like the broken off end of a screw

that no longer turns

as it should

a smock for a dress to hold in the mess

a mockery of me

so would you give me a word or two

and make them kind when you do

and maybe  compose an ode to this girl

the one you and I once knew

and then

don't fuss with my dust and pile of mistakes

as dust is the rust of your long dead relatives

the peelings of old life
today I lost someone

my Aunt the younger twin of my Mother

the last of a dwindling family in full decline

her art relics collect with the other dust

in front of me

it won't be long

til  I take my last move to the final place

so give me a word that's kind

and please call it

and give me

grace.
